MY REVIEW:

Linda was one of the women rescued from the previous book To command and collar.

She was treated horrifically and thinks it was all because she’s likes pain. She’s also live a very conservative lifestyle and that does not include anything kinky. Any time she’s brought it up before, she was told she wasn’t normal.

And now look what happened to her, why even bother going down that path again.

But she can’t control her needs and what her body wants no matter how hard she tries.

“Submissives don’t get what they want. They get what they need.” He might as well have said the rest of what he was thinking: And you need me”

Sam has been in the lifestyle for a long time and is comfortable with himself in a way that only someone has lived and experienced thing are.

He can see what Linda needs and knows that he’s the one that can give it to her. She suits him perfectly as their needs dovetail.

“Because when you know that I can—and will—make you take more than you wanted, even when it hurts, you slide far deeper.” Her body shook as she stared at the resolve—and satisfaction—in his face. The truth dug into her with pinpoint claws, because he was right. She wanted that ruthless part of him. What I really liked about Sam was that he was very controlled. He was NOT abusive or controlling. He might have been blunt and straightforward but he was never unnecessarily mean, which I thought about him before I read the book and understood the dynamic.

WOULD I RECOMMEND:

Yes! This was a great book and if you’re looking for character development then look no further.

One of the things I love about Ms. Sinclair’s books is that she does not discriminate when it comes to characters. Sam and Linda were a little older than the other characters she’s written about in this series but that didn’t stop her.

And this was a great book. We also got to catch up with the other characters and see what they have been up to.
