THE LOVE PROPOSAL | CAMILLA ISLEY

MY REVIEW:

This book started off a little weird but I was super interested and this made me keep reading.

Summer has to go to her twin sister’s wedding and has this big secret that was lurking in the background and at this point I didn’t know what the secret was so I was super intrigued.

Archie is a playboy and has no responsibility at all. He’s use to having a different woman every night. His job is also very flexible so he can pick up and go at any time. And he really likes the way his life is going.

He doesn’t seem to want to change his life at all. He has to go to his best friends wedding and is late for that which seems to be his MO.

Archie and Summer meet and its like instant chemistry from the beginning.

This story had all the things I look forward to in a book but then I found out that the secret Summer was hiding was that she cheated with one of her best friends boyfriend. And this threw the whole story off for me. 

I just couldn’t connect with the story after this but I finished. I couldn’t believe that she not only cheated but she hurt one of her best friends. And it seemed like she was mad that people kept bringing it up.

Fine, so I tried to keep going and see if I could still somehow connect to the story, Archie wasn’t bad, he was kind of sweet and looked past Summer’s flaws.

But this story just moved super fast for me, by the end of the week they were so in love. Idk it was just a little too insta-love for me.

Overall I think the cheating just threw me off and I couldn’t really get back into the story the way I wanted to after this. I wish they would have let us know that before I started reading this. I don’t really like cheating books.

This one wasn’t for me. I guess if you can get past that or don’t have a problem with that to begin with then there should be no issue.
