I absolutely inhaled this book, it was so good from beginning to end! This is definitely a new favorite author of mines.

Cade is a single dad who is looking for a nanny and not liking his options at all. All the women in town have ulterior motives and he’s not here for it. So he’s driving his dad and sis-in-law to be (Summer) insane.

He’s also a grump of the highest order to everyone but his son Luke of course. Luke is the most adorable five year old ever. Don’t get me wrong I’ve read many stories with adorable kids but Luke takes the cake with his commentary. I loved how he was constantly eavesdropping on everyone’s conversation.

Willa is Summer’s best friend and in between gigs and not really sure what to do for the summer. She’s a bartender and has no experience with kids at all. But Summer thinks she’s perfect for the job.

Willa is younger than Cade and sassy as hell, she has a smart mouth and keeps Cade on his toes at all times. And Luke loves her of course. She’s fun, smart and energetic and can totally handle caring for a five year old.

Cade is a grump and is annoyed by everything that Willa does or so it seems, she’s wildly inappropriate but funny as hell. I love how she kept pushing him to see how he would react. He’s annoyed until he isn’t.

And Luke eats everything up he’s absolutely enthralled by her and her antics. I loved every character in this book and can’t wait for the others to come with the rest of the siblings.

Everyone had smart lines and was funny as hell, especially Cade’s dad Harvey. Omg he had me in stitches. And Cade’s brothers getting at him I loved it all.

And lets talk about the spicy scenes I was not at all expecting the spicy level in this book but I loved it all! Every moment of Willa and Cade together. This was a slow burn and I guess that’s why I didn’t expect it to be spicy but boy was I wrong and I was so happy with every moment of it! *fans face* 🥵

This book was so good I didn’t even stop for quotes, I was so enthralled that I had to keep reading. This book was giving me Heartland vibes and I loved it!

I loved this book and will definitely read more from this author. I want to go back and read the first book in this series as soon as I have some time. Elsie Silver is a new favorite and I would love to read more of her work. I would definitely recommend this book.
