MY REVIEW:

But can I say I love Gabi! Right from the beginning, she was so strong and determined. Even though she was terrified she was going to help. After all her friend was one of the kidnapped women.

Gabi’s not the most experienced but she does have some and why not fake it til you make it right? She’s running out of time and needs to get seen in the shadowlands.

Her assignment? Be extra bratty and draw attention to herself. Piece ok cake right? Gabi is great at playing the brat, because lets face it she is a bit of brat.

And Marcus can’t help but find her entertaining and funny.

I just love Gabi’s personality, besides the brattiness, she’s fun, smart and has a great personality. And people seem to like her.

Gabi thinks Marcus is a stuffy, stuck up lawyer and lord knows she’s had her fair share of lawyers and really wants nothing to do with them. But he’s not as stuffy or stuck up as he first seems.

Marcus is so confused he likes Gabi’s personality but cant understand why she’s so much trouble.

Marcus has dealt with his fair share of women who like attention and that’s not what he’s looking for but he can’t help but be drawn to Gabi.

Yet he knows he can make her submit, and why does it feel so much more rewarding? Especially when he doesn’t prefer brats. 

Gabi’s strength and resilience shines through this whole book. She may be scared to the point of being terrified but she pushes through so many times.

And Marcus’s patience and understanding is so compelling. I love the fact that he wanted to figure out Gabi and help her. Most people would have written her off and too difficult.

WOULD I RECOMMEND:

Yes, yes and yes! Gabi and Marcus are probably one of my favorite couples from this series!

I love how endearing Gabi was and how considerate and caring Marcus was. Also the fact that he wasn’t a stuffy lawyer made me like him even more.

I also love every time I get to see what’s going on with the other shadowlands characters, because who doesn’t want to be a part of that crew?

I loved every minute of this book and can’t wait to read the next. 😊
