Cyrus and Prue have seen their fair share of death and betrayal and trust no one.

Cyrus own brothers and father betrayed him and he had to fight for his place at the top and in doing some he gave part of his soul for more power. One would say he is power hungry and just wants more.

All Prue wants is to save her sister no matter the costs, so she gets everything together and thinks she has it all under control and all will be well, what could go wrong?

So she summons Cyrus and things get a little bumpy. He is not at all happy about being summoned. Lets just say things start to go wrong and Prue misses a few details of the spell she used and is now bound to Cyrus and able to access his powers but also bound to him in marriage.

Cyrus is not at all happy about Prue taking his power after all this is the thing that he wants more than anything else. So you could say he was a tad bit furious to have it taken away.

They loath each other but it turns out they need one another to get to their end goal.  So they need to find a way to exist with one another. They start off as enemies and slowly turn into something more with the forced proximity but Prue and Cyrus know better than to trust anyone.

At first this was a little hard for me to read because I could feel the pain and hurt of both of these characters, which is the work of a really good author. I felt the anguish from both characters and the desperate need in Prue to help her sister at all costs and the anger in Cyrus because of his family’s betrayal

This book pulled me in from the beginning and I wanted to keep reading to see what was going to happen next. I loved every moment of it and the push and pull between the characters and how they hurt each other because they didn’t know how to care for each other.

I wasn’t not expected the twists and turns that this story took, especially not the end, to say I was shocked is an under statement. The I can’t wait to read the next book and see where this story takes me.

I would definitely recommend this is a must read. I have not read many supernatural stories but reading this one makes me want to dive into the supernatural and this author even more. Can’t wait for Thorn & Ash.
